It really wasn't too long ago that HBO Max had their giant outline of what's coming at us with original content horses. DC is going to be a huge part of this with a Green Lantern getting a big-budget treatment and originally was reported that this is the future of the Green Lantern film franchise up until today where we just learned.
There's going to be multiple Green Lantern's live action now specifically they haven't abandoned the Green Lantern Corp film. Alright, so here we go.
So this is coming from variety again. Very trusted Source, you can take you know, what they say pretty much as a guarantee like 99.99% of the time they're not just random websites reports or we got this whatever that this is the official thing, right? These guys have sources when they reported chances are things have been happening. They have very reliable insiders.
So when they announced that you know, Green Lantern was coming HBO Max many of us including Warner Brothers hinted.
That this was the future of Green Lantern at this was it, you know, this this is the former live-action film is now just a big-budget series considering that the film originally in 2011 with Ryan Reynolds was a pretty substantial fob the real your order Brothers financially.

You're gonna have a multi-episode series. We don't know how long I'm gonna assume. It's probably going to be 12 episodes maybe longer. Maybe it'll go down to eight maybe six. I don't care Green Lantern.
He's going to be handled by the people that have been behind the likes of Doom Patrol and Titans, which I genuinely love both of those. So I'm okay with that specially then it's going to To be higher budget than any of those that sounds rather incredible.
So Green Lantern all their cool at the same time, you're running into a bit of a problem because Green Lantern having a film that's presumably I would assume going to deal with Hal Jordan again at the Green Lantern Corp.
If you're also doing it on TV kind of one devalues the other and that's problematic because if you guys have seen Titans, for example, I know there's not a lot of fans of it that are you know, like clamoring for it every day say oh, this is great, but I genuinely But I think season 2 has been absolutely stunning every episode of seems to get better and better with Doom Patrol.
I think that's an absolute Masterpiece. I haven't these guys take on Green Lantern what if they look deliver something along those lines? That's absolutely stunning and everybody loves it. Then the movie side of things doesn't deliver to that level.
It's a bit shameful. So I don't get why they would want to compete with themselves in the same high budget Market that we're hearing the Green Lantern's going to cost like a hundred million dollars when it comes to HBO and we're hearing this film.
More than likely he's going to be big budget and when they get off the ground, there's no way it's under 200 million again. The messaging is kind of confusing but to Green Lanterns, I guess they're just gonna go and see what happens and my assumption would be that Green Lantern still is a priority for now,
but if the HBO series ends up taking off, they might not see the value in the film because again, there's too much Green Lantern in live action and realistically if the script is due by the end of the year, maybe they want to start by the end of next year.
End of 2020. Okay, but you're going to be again competing with the HBO series at the same time possibly releasing what a year apart.
And if the HBO series has received while you're releasing a second season somewhere along the lines of when the film is coming out again, this just seems like counterproductive to everybody involved on every side of it. So, I don't know what Warner brother is thinking but then again that seems to be a theme of when they throw darts and see what sticks.
